Things Needed For This Tutorial
  • Paint Shop Pro (This is done using 9), but should be able to be done in newer versions.
  • A tube of your choice,I am using Keith Garvey, which you can now be purchase here, do not use unless you have a license to do so.
  • Mask of your choice... 
  • Scrap kit "F**K Love" by Pimp'd Designz...This is a FTU kit that can be downloaded from her blog.
  • Or you may use a Scrap kit of your choice.
Please Note..All Settings remain the same unless otherwise noted.
Let's get started.....
1.  Open your tube and mask of your choice.

2.  Open a new image 650 X 650 pixels...Flood fill it with white or a color of your choice.
3.  Open the "pd-backdrop-01" from the kit...Edit/Copy...Paste it as a new layer on top the white layer.
4.  Image/Resize at 80%...Sharpen and add a dropshadow, if you like.
5. Open a paper of your choice...Edit/Copy...Paste it as a new layer onto the tag template.

Appy mask of your choice....Layers/Merge/Merge Group.
6.  Open the "pd-frame-02" from the kit...Edit/Copy...Paste it as a new layer on top the mask layer.
7.  Image/Resize at 70%...Sharpen...With your magic wand tool select the inside of the frame.  I first selected the top left box and the bottom right box.  These 2 boxes will be filled with one paper and the other 2 boxes will be fill with another paper.
Selections/Modify/Expand by 3
8.  Open a paper of your choice...Edit/Copy...Paste it as a new layer onto frame layer.
    Resize as you like....Selections/Invert ....Edit/Cut   ....Select none.
Layers/ Arrange/ Move Down
9.  Make your frame layer active again...now with your magic wand tool select the other 2 boxes.
Selections/Modify/Expand by 3...and repeat "Step 8" again.
10.  Make your frame layer active again...now with your magic wand tool select the inside
of the frame...top left corner...Selections/Modify/Expand by 3.
11.  Make your tube active...Edit/Copy...Paste it as a new layer onto frame layer.
Resize as you like....Selections/Invert ....Edit/Cut   ....Select none.
Layers/ Arrange/ Move Down
12.  In your layers palette select a "Blend Mode" of your choice.  Lower "Opacity" if you like.
13.  Add a dropshadow of your choice to the frame layer.  Merge down 3 times so the frame is merged with the tube and the 2 paper layers. 
14.  Image/Rotate/Free Rotate to the left at 2 degrees, all layers unchecked.
Place it how you like...see my tag for an example.
15. Open the "pd-frame-04" from the kit...Edit/Copy...Paste it as a new layer on top. 
Image/Resize at 76%...Sharpen.
With your magic wand tool select the inside of the frame...Selections/Modify/Expand by 3

16.  Open a paper of your choice...Edit/Copy...Paste it as a new layer onto frame layer.
    Resize as you like....Selections/Invert ....Edit/Cut   DON'T UnSelect! 
Layers/ Arrange/ Move Down
17.  Make your tube active or an image of your choice.  Edit/Copy...Paste it as a new layer onto the paper you just added.  Resize as needed...once you have the part your image you like in the selected frame...Selections/Invert...Edit/Cut   ....Select none.

18.  In your layers palette select a "Blend Mode" of your choice.  Lower "Opacity" if you like.
19.  Add a dropshadow of your choice to the frame & tube layer.  Merge down 2 times so the frame is merged with the tube and the paper layer. 
20.  Open the "pd-wrap-01" from the kit...Edit/Copy...Paste it as a new layer on top. 
Image/Resize at 63%...Sharpen & Add a drop shadow of our choice.  Merge down with frame.
Image/Rotate/Free Rotate to the right at 2 degrees, all layers unchecked.
Place it how you like...see my tag for an example.
21.  Now get creative, add any other elements of your choice...resize and add a dropshadow.
22.  Make your tube active...Edit/Copy...Paste it as a new layer on top.  Resize as needed and add a dropshadow of your choice.  Don't forget to add the proper copyright info.
23.  Now you may add your text...Add a drop shadow of our choice
Layers/Merge/Merge All Flatten....Crop off any extra white you don't want.
  
That's it...Your all done.  If you are using it for a Tag you may want to resize....I like to use 65%.  Now if you are using it for a header, resize to your liking.
To save your image go to File/Export and export the JPEG Optimizer and Optimize at anywhere between 15 and 20 or whichever setting you prefer :)
